Our publication- Africa4U – is entering the sixth edition. We are grateful to our esteemed readers for their valuable support, guidance and incisive comments for improving the editorial content, reach and canvas so as to position this fortnightly as a pre-eminent referral source for doing business with Africa. Indeed, we are determined to achieve that aspirational goal set.

Progress is always incremental and has to be calibrated. Happily, we have received an overwhelming number of feedbacks. A number of them were appreciative gestures. Also, there were constructive suggestions, guidance and tips to improve particularly aesthetics and layouts. Indeed, a good number of them were about making the venture commercially sustainable. There were inquiries for placing advertisements, sponsorships and profiles of companies and business entities.
During the last three months, we have been introspecting how to value add in terms of making the target group, across the world, more aware of the business opportunities in Africa and to effectively disseminate the business and economic information that we have collated from different sources and value added. To showcase 54 countries in the continent, having different development profiles, stages of growth, requirements, demographic matrices etc. is a tall order.

Africa is one of the fast growing continents in business terms. There are many, across the globe, wanting to invest in Africa and are regularly tracking the developments, investment and trade opportunities. From a raw material source, the region inhabited by over 1 billion people and that too most of them are in the productive young age group , Africa is making steady step towards becoming a manufacturing and services hub. Business is growing exponentially.

That has prompted us to develop a business portal, where continuous information about the happening continent is hoisted in a real time basis to help the discerning businessmen and investors. This carefully structured portal has some unique features, which are relevant to the stakeholders. One can find region and country-wise business details, B2B opportunities, interviews, blogs, opinions, company profiles and a host of other incisive information, which business would look forward to. Importantly, it will have slots for banners and displaying other promotional messages of the stakeholders.

Our fortnightly will come out as usual and will be disseminated as widely as possible globally. It will have a link to the portal. We are in the process of moving in value chain and are looking at various options including developing linkages with other important portals and websites, particularly of development and multilateral agencies to serve as a single window for a business entity to cull out the relevant information.
