Tanzania to host grand manufacturers expo

The Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) joined forces with the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) to launch the first Tanzania International Manufacturers Expo 2023. The Expo is set to take place from October 4-6, 2023 at Dar es Salaam. The first-ever expo will serve as a platform to discuss global trends, exchange ideas and promote Tanzania as a manufacturing hub.

The event is designed to bring together pioneers of the private sector, government ministers, development partners, embassies, and the international community to explore opportunities for mutual growth and success. The Expo, which will focus on innovation, technology, production practices, and quality standards, will attract over 500 international and local exhibitors and stakeholders from industrial heavyweights. This is a platform to discuss global trends, exchange ideas and promote Tanzania as a manufacturing hub.

The Expo will feature a diverse range of activities such as exhibitions, business match-making (B2B), seminars, panel discussions, and keynote addresses from prominent local and international businessmen and decision-makers. The topics to be discussed at the event aim at capitalizing on the recent economic development policies that are supporting industrial growth in Tanzania, as well as introducing new business models and the latest technology needed to enable greater success.

The Expo 2023 will be bridging the gap between the potentials of the local manufacturing industry to global importers and international buyers and focuses on Extractive manufacturing, Agri-processing, Manufacturing of consumer goods, and Petrochemicals. Other topics to be covered are Pharmaceuticals, Renewable energy technologies, Electrical Appliances, and Modern industrial equipment and machinery.
