Kuwait’s investments in Egypt is at US$15 billion

Kuwaiti investments in Egypt are estimated at more than US$15 billion. This makes Kuwait the third-largest Arab trading partner for Egypt and the fourth-largest global trading partner among the countries investing in Egypt

Kuwaiti investments in Egypt are estimated at more than US$15 billion. This makes Kuwait the third largest Arab trading partner for Egypt, and the fourth largest global trading partner among the countries investing in Egypt, says the country’s Petroleum Minister, Tarek el-Molla.

Tarek el-Molla noted that the two countries established the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Cooperation Council in 2014, to strengthen economic cooperation and to seek greater cooperation in the field of economy and investment.

Molla revealed that Egypt and Kuwait have fruitful and constructive cooperation.  There are more than 100 joint agreements in various fields.  There are also investments and development programs to further galvanize the cooperation between the two countries.

 He indicated that the two countries are working to strengthen economic relations, in various fields of trade and investment. Egypt witnessed during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, an unprecedented development in its modern history.  The climate of Egypt became attractive to Arab and foreign investors.
