The Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique (CCM) deeply regretted the recent death of Mr. Hayyum Ali Mamade, a businessman with various investments, due to the action of miscreants. The Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique (CCM) deeply regretted the recent death of Mr. Hayyum Ali Mamade, a businessman with various investments, due to the action of miscreants. He was kidnapped and later killed. There has been a wave of kidnappings and abductions carried out by criminals in recent times.
The CCM vehemently condemned this horrible social crime and urged the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to quickly solve this case and nab the perpetrators, adding that a country’s economy was not built in a climate of perpetual fear and consternation of its industry, which is the main agents of change.
The Chamber reiterated the call for diligent work to be carried out to end the heinous crimes and hold its agents accountable. It said that the business could grow only if every businessman gets the right to conduct his or her businesses with total freedom and in an environment of peace and tranquillity.

Another organization, the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), Mozambique’s largest employers’ association, has called for “energetic measures” from the Mozambican authorities to stop kidnappings in the country. It called for strict measures to be taken to stop these macabre acts.
