In its bid to evolve into a regional center for the production and exchange of new and renewable energy, Egypt is exploring joint collaboration with Siemens according to a statement from the office of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

It was reported that President Sisi discussed joint cooperation in the green energy projects with the team from Siemens including Joe Kaiser, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the global “Siemens” company, attended by Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr Mohamed Shaker, CEO of “Siemens” Energy Christian Bruch and the Managing Director of Siemens Energy in Egypt and Engineer Laila Al-Haris.

Appreciating the achievements by Siemens Company in implementing development projects and its success in establishing power stations in Egypt, the president said that Egypt is keen to benefit from the expertise of the company in several renewable energy development sectors. For his part, Kaiser said that the company is also interested to partner with Egypt in the new and renewable energy fields and upgrading the infrastructure.
