A young Togolese inventor is making waves with his self-made 4X4 car made from recycled materials. The young innovator is Sourou-Edjareyo Malazouwe( 25), a self-taught engineer with an unquenching passion for sports cars. What made him an innovator was he could not buy a car on his own from his limited means as a mechanic of mobile phones.
The young innovator’s car has an assortment of recycled materials and parts taken from other vehicles, such as parts from Titan buses, motorcycles, and cars, and the list is long. People are impressed with his car and are wanting to order one. He has not responded to them as he is currently working on fixing problems with his garage.

The young mechanic is getting a lot of public attention after his tryst with the homemade car. In May, he met with the country’s Prime Minister, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé Dogbé, who later tweeted that she was amazed and charmed by his genius. She tweeted after meeting with him that her government was proud to help develop the enormous potential of Togo’s youth.
