Tailing Electric Vehicle, a Chinese company is one of the leaders in the manufacture of electric bikes and motorcycles. The company has set up a motorcycle and tricycle assembly plant in Rwanda.

The plant, will assemble, sell and service new energy electric vehicles which will promote green economy and cut down emissions. The company’s products include electric bikes, electric scooters, and electric tricycle.

Tiger Hoo, the plant’s managing director said that the electric vehicles produced by his company run on 100 percent electric motors enabling Rwandans to shift to a sustainable, clean, and efficient transport system that is affordable and cost-effective. According to him, electric vehicles will support the government of Rwanda to build a green transport system and realize zero emissions in its transport sector. Rwanda Environment Management Authority had reported that vehicle emissions are the leading cause of air pollution in Kigali.
