More investments into the hotel industry are expected with the signing of two five-star hotel projects between the government of Zanzibar and the Eagle Hills Regional Properties Company of the UAE.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the three-day visit of President Hussein Mwinyi’s to Abu Dhabi. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of Eagle Hills, an Abu Dhabi-based private Real Estate Investment and Development Company, Mr Mohamed Ali Rashid Alabbar, and the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) Director, Mr Sharif Ali Sharif . Mr. Alabbar expressed satisfaction about the investment climate in Zanzibar and thanked President Mwinyi for his support. The proposed projects include two five-star hotels and high-end residential houses for tourists.
