Egypt’s minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir said that his country is keen to increase cooperation and trade exchange with Jordan and Iraq. Towards that he stressed the need to develop the Arab Bridge Maritime Company. The company will seek to promote intra-Arab trade to maximise the volume of Arab, Asian and African trade exchanges.
Recently, Al Wazir chaired the work of the 77th General Assembly of the Arab Bridge Maritime Company. Among others, the meeting was attended by Jordanian Minister of Transport Wajih Azaiza and Iraqi Minister of Transport Nasser Hussein.
The Arab Bridge Maritime company represents a leading model for cooperation between Arab countries in the field of Transport. There is an urgent need to open new shipping lines and markets. The Arab Bridge is a model for joint Arab action, hailing the company’s ability to overcome all challenges including the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Al-Wazir had also held a bilateral meeting with his Jordanian counterpart. The bilateral meeting discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in land and sea transport.
