Ncondezi Energy Ltd, Mozambique has announced the signing of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) power plant deal with China Machinery Engineering Corp (CMEC). The agreement covers its 300-megawatt coal-fired power project and coal mine in Tete, Mozambique. The contract valid for three years is subject to standard conditions being met before construction could start.
With the signing of the contract, CMEC takes over as the main contractor to provide design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, erection, installation and commissioning of the two 150MW coal-fired power stations on a turnkey basis.
