Mozambique launches new industrial parks Development Company

  • Aiming at an inclusive economic growth through generating youth employment,  development of local content, and, most importantly, the active involvement of local communities, Mozambique has launched MozParks, the new industrial parks development company.
  • MozParks, is the holding company of Beluluane Industrial Park, is a public-private partnership between the Mozambican state and Swiss/Mozambican private investors.

Aiming at inclusive economic growth through generating youth employment,  development of local content, and, most importantly, the active involvement of local communities, Mozambique has launched MozParks, the new industrial parks development company. Addressing the launching ceremony, Mozambique’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Carlos Mesquita remarked that the country offered big opportunities for industrial development. MozParks are expected to facilitate the industrialisation of Mozambique.

MozParks, is the holding company of Beluluane Industrial Park, is a public-private partnership between the Mozambican state and Swiss/Mozambican private investors. Beluluane Industrial Park is a reputed company developing and operating industrial parks, agro-parks, and economic zones in Mozambique. Its signature project is Beluluane Industrial Park in Maputo province, which hosts more than 40 companies. It has generated 7,000 jobs over the past three years and is expected to create up to 40,000 additional jobs over the next decade.

in 2021 MozParks will open two more parks: Topuito Industrial Park in Nampula province and Montepuez Agro Park in Cabo Delgado while by next year it proposes to open four further industrial and agro-parks. Later it will expand to all other provinces.
