Egypt to hold first edition of International Cooperation Forum

  • The Ministry of International Cooperation of Egypt  will l hold the first edition of the Egypt International Cooperation Forum “Egypt-ICF” on September 8 and 9
  • To be held under the slogan “Partnerships to achieve sustainable development” with high-level international and regional participation, the Forum will be kicked off by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi
  •  The meeting of the Forum to be held under hybrid model-virtual and physical -will be attended by a number of major economic and social development institutions, including the United Nations and the World Bank Group

The Ministry of International Cooperation of Egypt  will l hold the first edition of the Egypt International Cooperation Forum “Egypt-ICF” on September 8 and 9.

 To be held under the slogan “Partnerships to achieve sustainable development” with high-level international and regional participation, the Forum will be kicked off by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The meeting of the Forum to be held under hybrid model-virtual and physical -will be attended by a number of major economic and social development institutions, including the United Nations and the World Bank Group.

 Important organizations to attend the Forum include European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the African Development Bank Group, and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. It will also have the presence of a number of ministers and policy makers from Africa, Asia and Latin America, in addition to heads of international financial institutions, and representatives of bilateral and multilateral development partners, besides representatives of the business community and the private sector, and international and regional research centers.

Egypt’s organization of this forum reflects the leadership role the North African country is assuming in unifying the continent and the need for undertaking sustainable development path by enlisting the support of international development agencies and other countries. The Forum will give a platform for sharing  ideas between countries on the one hand and between financing institutions and development partners on the other.
