According to a press release of General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, net foreign investment in Egypt grew by 47 percent during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021.

According to a press release of General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, net foreign investment in Egypt grew by 47 percent during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021.
CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Mohamed Abdel stated that the net foreign investment flows amounting to $1.429 billion was higher by 47.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year 2019-2020. This he said was in line with the projections issued by the International Monetary Fund. The net foreign direct investment flows to the non-oil sectors during the third quarter of the 2020-2021 fiscal year touched $1.911 billion growing by 21.72 percent. The investments in the non-petroleum sectors rose by 32.7% while new investments grew by 85 percent compared to the first quarter of the same year.
