Japan vows to scale trade with Egypt

  •  They also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations, as well as exchanging visions on the most prominent regional issues of common concern

Japan’s foreign minister recently met with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo to discuss trade and investment matters. They also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations, as well as exchanging visions on the most prominent regional issues of common concern. The two sides also shared their concerns about the happenings in Afghanistan and agreed to cooperate with Egypt which has an influence on the Islamic world so that this issue does not become a factor of further turmoil.

The two countries have decided to continue with their consultations and coordination in the preparation of the agenda of the  upcoming Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) set to be held in Tunisia next year. The Japanese foreign minister also met with the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-sisi in an earlier meeting and the latter conveyed his greetings to Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga. The successful completion of Tokyo Olympics also came up for discussion
