Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi exudes optimism on growth of SADC

·        Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi guaranteed that the business environment in Mozambique, and in most member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), remains stable.

·        Terrorism and the Cvid-19 pandemic will have impact but growth impulses are very strong to upset by the negative impact

·        He added that the government remained  committed to reforms, with the help of its partners, including the United States and its Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

 

 

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi guaranteed that the business environment in Mozambique, and in most member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), remains stable.  Terrorism and the Cvid-19 pandemic will have impact but growth impulses are very strong to upset by the negative impact. . But he admitted that these two factors cannot be discounted since they have the potential to destabilize the business environment in Mozambique if steps are not taken in time.

Nyusi, who holds the presidency of SADC, was speaking during the 13th United States-Africa Business Summit, which had the theme “New Paths for a Stronger Economic Partnership between the United States and Africa”.

Nyusi  laid emphasis on the public and private sector partnership , which resulted in viable solutions for the country. He added that the government remained  committed to reforms, with the help of its partners, including the United States and its Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
