- The Government of Liberia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China have finalised the agreement for the project of two China-Aided Overpass Bridge on Tubman Boulevard in Liberia. The deal was finalised by Liberia’s Acting Minister of Public Works Ruth Coker-Collins on behalf of the Government of Liberia, and the Economic and Commercial Counsellor from  the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Liberia.

International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Public Works of the Republic of Liberia reached a consensus on specific issues and exchanged letters of Agreement in September 2019.
 Under the project, the mainline of the west overpass bridge will be reconstructed on Back Road, Tubman Boulevard with the length of around 1,140 meters, auxiliary roads with the length of 480 meters. The construction of additional ramps with a length of 950 meters, and an overpass with a length of around 287 meters will also be done.
 The reconstruction of mainline of the east overpass bridge section on Back Road of around 870 meters, additional ramps of 1080 meters and an overpass of around 162 meters will also be undertaken.
