The future agricultural reclamation project of Egypt is another of the country’s mega projects to maximize production.

The project spans over 500,000 feddans on Dabaa Axis in northwestern Egypt lying close to ports, industrial zones, airports, and a number of main roads, facilitating shipping and transportation.  It envisages an integrated system of administration, irrigation and agricultural mechanism accompanied by latest equipment and techniques, thousands of the Pivot Center Irrigation devices and two power stations with a capacity of 250 megawatts.

The project will use underground water reservoirs Losin, Maiosin and al-Magharrah reservoirs, all of which are an extension of Natrun Valley in Beheira governorate in northern Egypt.

The project entails a cost of  L.E.6 billion for building infrastructure, which include  laying internal roads of 500 kilometers in length and 10 meters in width, drilling wells, establishing power stations and grids at 200 kilometers in length, as well as storehouses, administrative and residential buildings.
