Egypt readies a strategy to enhance cooperation with Japan in agriculture

·        Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayyed el Quseir discussed with the Japanese ambassador to Egypt – Masaki NOKE- the prospects for agricultural cooperation between the two countries

·        Egyptian citrus fruits are being sold in Japan   and negotiations are underway for exporting grapes and pomegranates to Japan

·         The two sides also discussed the cooperation in fish farming, agricultural mechanization, value chains in the field of agricultural products and related activities, modernization of irrigation methods and the development of agricultural exports

Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayyed el Quseir discussed with the Japanese ambassador to Egypt – Masaki NOKE- the prospects for agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

Egyptian citrus fruits are being sold in Japan   and negotiations are underway for exporting grapes and pomegranates to Japan. The two sides also discussed the cooperation in fish farming, agricultural mechanization, value chains in the field of agricultural products and related activities, modernization of irrigation methods and the development of agricultural exports.

The Japanese ambassador referred to the agricultural cooperation between the two countries since the seventies in the field of rice cultivation, irrigation and improvement of irrigation infrastructure.
