In order to boost investment opportunities between Belgium, Morocco and Africa the Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and Belgian Finance Center (BFC) has signed a partnership deal. The partnership is expected to offer a platform for promoting best practices, and knowledge sharing in the fields of SME financing and corporate governance.

In a statement issued by the CFC, it said that the partnership also aims to facilitate the sharing of information and expertise between the two entities for a lasting and effective cooperation.

This partnership envisages holding joint education and professional financial training programs, research and workshops, and also publications and exchanges of business delegations. Speaking about the agreement, Ibrahimi, CEO of CFC, remarked that it will strengthen cooperation with Belgium, which is a historical partner to Morocco covering two key areas in the context of the post-Covid recovery: the financing of SMEs and corporate governance.

Bruno Colmant, BFC Chairman said that as founding members of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers, CFC and BFC have demonstrated willingness to develop mutual aid between countries and believed that financial centers have the capacity to promote economic growth and international cooperation through their links and their technological skills.
