·        Ethiopian Airlines beefed up its Airbus fleet by adding two more aircraft  taking its Airbus strength to 14 Airbus fleet

·        Ethiopian has also transported and delivered to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health five tons of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, as well as IT equipment from France to Ethiopia in partnership with the Airbus Foundation and other donors from Europe

Ethiopian Airlines beefed up its Airbus fleet by adding two more aircraft taking its Airbus strength to 14 aircrafts. Ethiopia had ordered 10 A350-900 in 2017. Of these,   two aircrafts have been delivered now.

For the last four years, the airline started operating with A350-900. The global passenger traffic has considerably declined as a result of Covid-19 pandemic. Ethiopia  is one among the very few airlines, which could insulate from the iii-effects of the pandemic to some extent. During the total ban of the passenger traffic, it had reconfigured the aircrafts to be used as  cargo to ply to various destinations to supply Covid -19 medical supplies. China used Ethiopia as the hub for supplying medicines and other materials to be transported to other African countries.
