Ericsson has announced the launch of its 2020 edition of the Africa Graduate Program, which will initially cover Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan and Angola. The program is aimed at training young talents and innovators in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The ambitious program, conducted through the virtual medium, will also mentor new graduates to work with ICT pioneers and industry experts to gain rare insights in the domain.

The Graduate Program will fast-track and train potential leaders and innovators to engage with the most exciting technologies. It will also give the young professionals exposure to global corporations, their vision, strategies and importantly, work culture. This global experience will equip young African ICT professionals to face business challenges and uncertainties during difficult times.

To be imparted virtually, the Graduate Program will help build local talent for the African market and to hone up their aptitudes.   It will also provide them careers in a global environment.

The Program will provide the African youths an opportunity to engage with the most exciting technology and to work with brightest minds in the industry  so as to innovate and disrupt products and concepts to help the continent move in the IT  value chain.  Though the applications are closed for this phase, the Program is expected to roll out in more countries in the continent during a second phase.

Ericsson’s portfolio spans networks, digital services, managed services, and emerging business and is designed to help customers go digital, increase efficiency and find new revenue streams.
