Alstom has successfully supplied, tested, and put into commercial service its SIL4 electronic interlocking system solution for the Matai sector of the railway line linking Beni Suef and Assiut.
Matai is the sixth sector of Beni Suef – Assiut line to enter commercial service with Alstom’s interlocking signaling system. Earlier in July this year, the Mallawi section was commissioned, which is an extended sector of over 18 km. Now, Alstom is putting into
service over 80 km of mainline railways in Egypt.
