New directives have been introduced at the airport of Lomé (AIGE) to relax the stiff conditions laid at the peak of Covid-19 pandemic.

Departing and arriving travelers must present a negative report (PCR covid-19 test) of no more than seven days (against five days previously) before traveling, starting this week.  Non compliance of this rule will lead to denial of entry into the country. Travelers visiting Togo for no more than seven days will not need to redo a covid-19 test if the one they did on arrival is negative.

Togo reported to have controlled the disease through various initiatives such as setting a modern lab for screening at the airport. Only 31 people out of 15,000 (around 0.2%) who transited through the airport since it resumed two months ago were tested positive for covid-19.
