The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said that he succeeded in adopting difficult policies that ensured that oil was neutralized from any political exploitation, and its revenues were spent under state legislation in a manner consistent with governance and oversight.”

He added during his speech at the opening of the third edition of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit in Tripoli, recently, that his government worked to overcome the difficulties that the sector faced over the years, and provided the necessary resources to solve the sector’s crises, which contributed to increasing crude oil production to 1.413 million barrels per day, from 800.000 barrels before his government took office.

He pointed to the operation of ten oil fields that were not working or sabotaged, with a total production of about 69.000 barrels per day, including the Erawan and North Hamada fields, and the latest of which is the Camelia field.

Dbeibah said, addressing foreign investors that the Ministry of Oil and Gas and the National Oil Corporation are preparing to launch new rounds of announcements (tenders) to increase production capacity.” He pointed out the launching of the “Libya’s Greens” initiative and the endeavor to plant 100 million trees throughout Libya, ensuring the improvement of the environment and combating climate change.
